Countdown App ("the App") is a countdown timer application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is stored, and your rights.

Information Stored on Your Device

All of your data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not operate any servers that collect or store user data. Locally stored data includes:

Countdown timers you create (titles, descriptions, dates, colors, and emoji icons)
Your preferences (display settings, sort order, onboarding status)
Background images you select from your photo library, stored in the app's local directory
Data shared with the home screen widget via on-device App Group storage

Subscription Information

The App offers optional premium subscriptions managed through RevenueCat. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes:

Your purchase history and subscription status
An anonymous identifier (not linked to your personal information)

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment details. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Photo Library Access

The App may request access to your photo library for two purposes:

Read access: To select custom background images for your countdowns
Write access: To save shareable countdown card images to your photo library

Selected photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or transmitted.

Notifications

The App uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming events. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification server or remote messaging service is used. Notification content never leaves your device.

Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not:

Use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services
Collect personal information, email addresses, or account data
Require user accounts or authentication
Use advertising identifiers or ad tracking
Share any data with third parties (other than RevenueCat for subscription management)

Sharing

When you share a countdown, a link is generated that encodes the countdown's title, description, date, color, and emoji directly in the URL. No personal data is included in shared links, and no data is sent to any server.

Data Retention and Deletion

All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the App. RevenueCat retains purchase history in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable laws.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
